“Change is Coming. And the only constant thing in this world is change.” Cliché as may seem but this was how Manila City Gov’t Assistant Dept. Head III Pedro M. Arao describe the change of leadership in three of the premier Schools’ Division in the National Capital Region. Held last October 21, 2019, outgoing Schools Division Superintendent Jenilyn Rose B. Corpuz, CESO VI was given tribute by her beloved colleagues of DepEd Manila.

Outgoing Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Sheryll T. Gayola, CESE was likewise given a tribute as she gets appointed as OIC-Schools Division Superintendent of SDO Marikina. It can be recalled that barely 11 months ago, Gayola was reassigned from Marikina as OIC-SDS to Manila as Assistant Schools Division Superintendent. “Love is lovelier the second time around”, this was how she describe her return to the shoe capital of the Philippines.

SDS Corpuz and ASDS Gayola were crowed like queens as their colleagues from the Division serenade them with different song numbers. The outgoing queens returned the favor by serenading the crowd together with Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Marivic R. Leaño. SDS Corpuz jokingly referred to themselves as the TRIPLES (referring to Manilyn Reynes, Sheryl Cruz and Tina Paner)

Meanwhile Dr. Maria Magdalena M. Lim, CESO VI or commonly referred to as Ma’am Dals was equally welcomed with warm hugs as she takes place as the Schools Division Superintendent of the nation’s capital. SDS Lim, who is known to have take advantage of technology to ease the nature of doing business in government service, was serenaded by school heads and other employees of DepEd Manila.

The tiring day ended with a happy and free flowing of singing to the tune of Salamat by The Dawn.
